Santorini is the ideal plase to spend your vacation that combines entertaiment, relaxation and adventure. Santorini is unlike any other Greek island. It has a unique  mystic aura and characteristices . 
Santorini Island considered one of the finest holiday spots in the world, is most famous for its Caldera -which is the opening created by the Santorini volcano- , its breathtaking sunset view and its beaches, which have unique colors due to the volcanic properties of the sand. CHARACTERISTICS Rocky steep terrain on the caldera side (west coast), volcanic rock, pumice stone, unusual rock formations. Other areas have a gentler terrain. Climate is moist, warm summers with cool evenings. August has the famous 'Meltemia' winds. Sparse rainfall during the winter months.
ARCHITECTURE Cave Houses (dug into the volcanic rock), neo classical mansions, cobbled streets and winding paths, domed churches (many with a blue dome), and most houses have a dome at some part of the roof structure.

CLIMATE Santorini has a warm Mediterranean climate. In summer, dry hot days are often relieved by stiff breezes, especially in the north and coastal areas. The evenings are cool. Winters are relatively mild. November to March is the rainy (sort-of) season. Light sweaters might be needed for evenings, on cool days.
Santorini also known as Thira, belongs to the Cyclades cluster, is 73 km2 and it's populated by appr. 13.500 permanent inhabitants
